Emma started playing the piano at the age of 4 and the harp at the age of 8. The very first time she put her fingers on the strings of a small lever harp back in 2013 she played the hymn Amazing Grace. Since then, Emma’s talent has grown tremendously and so has her harp!
Emma won the International Maestro Piano and String competition and played at Carnegie Hall in 2019. She also won the Ruth Kern Concerto Competition in 2020 and played Handel's Concerto in B Flat Major at her winners concert with the Atlanta Community Symphony Orchestra. She also played the Mozart Concerto for Flute and Harp with the Carrollton Wind Ensemble. Emma is currently the harpist in the Emory Youth Symphony Orchestra. She plays for various events, weddings, funerals, holiday events, and other special occasions.
Emma is being classically trained using the Salzedo method. She loves Baroque and classical music, improvisation, and hymns.
She is under the instruction of Nella Rigell, principal harpist for the Atlanta Ballet.
